Summer and fall are ripe seasons for the best produce grown in Utah. Who can resist fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables that are beyond amazing. There are a handful of produce farms in Utah where you can pick your own produce. Make it a fun outing with your kids, and teach them how their food is obtained. They’ll appreciate the fresh taste even more!

When searching online for u-pick produce farms in Utah, we found a couple of websites, but the information either seemed out of date or was hard to read. So we decided to go ahead with our own list, which we’ll gladly keep current as farms or customers like you reach out to us with updated information. McBride Briar Patch

848 S 2100 W, Mapleton. Our berries usually start producing in late July and will continue to produce through August, September, and into October. Hours: M, W, F 8 am – dusk. Visit them on Facebook for details.






Rocky Top Fruit Farm





8600 S 6200 W, Payson. Crops: season begins in June with sweet cherries; July, apricots and blackberries; August, peaches and raspberries; walnuts drop the end of October and November; apples coming soon in 2021. Buy honey and specialty jam year round. Find the Fruit Barn with the red roof at the end of the cul-de-sac. Berries are by the pound; the rest is by the half-bushel box ($18-20) but can also be purchased by the pound.

Hours: usually M, W, F 8am – 1pm and then 5 – 8 pm. Berries should only be picked every other day and not in the heat. When September arrives, hours will be extended as the weather cools. Cash, credit cards, and Venmo accepted. Visit their Facebook page for more information.

Riley’s U-Pick:  2 Locations

Crops: sweet cherries, peas, tomatoes, peaches (except for 2020 season, due to hard frost), apples, peppers in many varieties, winter squash, pumpkins.

Over 1000 Encore raspberry plants. These berries are nearly thornless, making them easier to pick. They are velvety, exceptionally sweet raspberries that melt in your mouth. Hours: M-F 8 am to dark; Saturday 7 am to dark. During Covid, call for an appointment.
